Description of Resource: SPLIT-LEVEL WPA ERA ROCK BUILDING ONCE USED AS THE BATH HOUSE FOR THE PARK POOL. AT ONE TIME USED FOR COMMUNITY BUILDING. CURRENT USE CLOSED DUE TO STRUCTURAL ISSUES. ENTRY AT STREET LEVEL WITH BALCONY. BASEMENT ACCESSIBLE ONLY FROM OUTSIDE. WINDOWS BUILT OVER DUE TO VANDALISM.
Comments: THE ORIGINAL WINDOWS HAVE BEEN COVERED ON BOTH THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE AND NONE ARE CURRENTLY VISIBLE. THESE WINDOWS WERE COVERED DUE TO VANDLISM TO THE BUILDING.
THE BUILDING IS BUILT ON THE SIDE OF A HILL AND APPEARS TO BE SLIDING DOWN THE HILL PRIMARILY DUE TO THE LARGE TREE THAT IS GROWING ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE BUILDING. THE BUILDING ALSO HAS A BALCONY ON ITS EAST SIDE THAT IS ACCESSIBLE FROM THE MAIN FLOOR. THE BALCONY HAS BEEN DECLARED UNSAFE AND HAS BEEN LOCKED OFF AND ADDITIONAL TEMPORARY SUPPORTS HAVE BEEN ADDED TO KEEP FURTHER DAMAGE FROM OCCURING. THE EXISTING SIDEWALKS ARE IN BAD SHAPE AND ARE IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT.
