Description of significance: THE MCINTOSH COUNTY COURTHOUSE IS A NOTABLE LOCAL EXAMPLE OF A SIMPLIFIED NEOCLASSICAL STYLE ARCHITECTURE. IT WAS DESIGNED BY THE RENOWNED OKLAHOMA ARCHITECTURAL FIRM OF LAYTON, HICKS, AND FORSYTH AND BUILT IN 1926. THE MCINTOSH COUNTY COURTHOUSE IS A THREE-STORY, RED BRICK BUILDING WITH MINIMAL DECORATIVE STONEWORK. LISTED IN NATIONAL REGISTER 3/22/1985.
